The use of bituminous materials is mainly in road construction. The material consists essentially of binder and aggregate (ballast) and to a certain extent additives, with a practically infinite number of mixtures. It is therefore necessary to have suitable equipment that meets the requirements of the test methods prescribed by the various standards, in order to determine the various material properties.
