The penetration depth of the penetration needle is determined by an electronic position measurement system, which is disconnected from the piston during the test. An influence on the load and friction is excluded, due to this free control of the piston.

The raising and lowering of the needle is carried out automatically via the measuring system. Manual joystick mode is also possible. The piston is then activated by an automatic device and blocked again after the test period. The test result is displayed on the screen. The piston can be easily removed to calibrate its weight.
