The digital penetrometer can be fine-tuned with a joystick for optimal control. Before each test start, the measuring system is automatically referenced. The penetration needle is then moved up to the sample with electric drive controlled by the fine-adjustable joystick. An ultra-bright LED lamp is included for optimal visibility during positioning.
The needle’s penetration depth is determined with an electronic measuring system that is separated from the plunger during the test. This virtually eliminates the influence on load and friction for higher measurement accuracy. After positioning, the plunger is approved by an automatic device and blocked again after the testing period.
The test result is displayed on the digital display for immediate reading. The plunger can be easily removed to calibrate its weight when needed.
