The Asphalt Penetrometer from Infratest is a testing apparatus for determining penetration depth and testing the behaviour of cast asphalt, rolled asphalt, and similar bituminous materials under static load. The equipment uses a cylindrical punch to measure how the material deforms under pressure, which is important for assessing the mechanical properties of asphalt.

Product Description

The asphalt penetrometer consists of a stainless steel vessel with an integrated test frame and a lowerable weight load of 500 N. The system is equipped with interchangeable test punches (1 and 5 cm³) for different test scenarios, as well as a precision gauge with a 30 mm scale and 0.01 mm accuracy. This enables precise measurement of penetration depth in bituminous materials under controlled loading.

The equipment is designed to provide reproducible results and is a standardized tool for quality control of asphalt mixtures.
