PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Wheel Tracker uses a loaded wheel that tracks the test specimen under specified conditions. The development of the rut is continuously monitored throughout the test, enabling precise measurement of the asphalt’s deformation resistance.
Test specimens can be prepared in two ways: either as slabs compacted with a sector compactor or as cores taken directly from the road. This flexibility makes it possible to test both laboratory-prepared and field material.
Model 20-4000 can be used in both air and water, enabling testing under different environmental conditions. An integrated computer on the front of the machine makes monitoring and operation simple and user-friendly.
OPERATION
The Wheel Tracker can be configured for two different test environments:
- Air test — For assessing asphalt’s rut resistance in dry conditions
- Water testing — For simulating moisture and wet conditions corresponding to roads under rain or snow
The integrated computer enables automated test management and real-time monitoring of rut formation, reducing operator requirements and increasing data reliability.
