This roller compactor, entirely developed and manufactured by Matest, operates fully with the electromechanical system and therefore does not require an air source (compressor) or hydraulic pressure.

It is used to produce representative sample slabs of several dimensions of bituminous mixtures that are laid and compacted in place. The compaction is carried out by a segmented roller with alternating actuated rotation that simulates the operation of a road roller. The compaction cycle can be programmed according to a certain load or deformation value.

The flexibility of the program provides the production of samples with uniform density and dimensions, fully meeting standard specifications and research requirements.

Heating of the segmented roller

Possibility of heating and controlling the temperature of the segmented roller and the slide carriage to keep the mold warm and avoid thermal shocks that could affect the workability of the sample.
