Operating Principle
Bituminous material (up to 3.5 kg) is weighed into a sieve drum, placed in the washing chamber, and automatically washed. The material is then separated into aggregate, mineral filler, and bitumen using solvent and ultrasonic separation:
- The aggregate remains in the sieve drum
- The mineral filler is separated from bitumen and solvent in the centrifuge unit and collected in the centrifuge cup
- Bitumen and solvent are concentrated in the recovery unit through distillation
- The condensed solvent is collected in the solvent container
Aggregate and filler are dried in the machine and available for weighing and determination of grain size distribution in the bituminous mixture.
Safety and Technology
The analyzer is equipped with an indirect heating system enabling gentle and safe handling of the solvents used. The machine can be configured for operation with trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene, or methyl chloride (dichloromethane).
Software and User Interface
The Prof.EX 4.0 software enables control and adjustment of all machine parameters. The graphical user interface allows simple handling of tests with standard materials, including an extended user interface for settings and analysis of more advanced bituminous materials.
The system is available with a 15″ touchscreen.

Available Modules
Asphalt Analyzer PURE can be expanded with the following specialized modules:
- Washing module for Modified Asphalt (MODA)
- Module for Automated Rotary Evaporator (ROTA)
Only available in combination with at least one module (20-11600E). Not available as a standalone module.
