Asphalt Analysator PURE BASIC Module

For extraction and binder content determination of bituminous materials within a closed system using non-flammable solvents. The machine can be configured for the operation with Trichloroethylene, Tetrachloroethylene or Methylene chloride (Dichloromethane). Bituminous material (up to 3.5 kg) is weighed into a sieve drum (20-1110,…) , placed into the washing chamber and will be automatically washed and separated into aggregates, mineral filler and bitumen under use of solvents and ultrasonic sound separation. The aggregates remain in the sieve drum. Mineral filler is separated from bitumen and solvent in the centrifuge unit. The mineral filler is collected in the centrifuge cup (20-0330 or 20-0335) and the bitumen-solvent mixture is concentrated in the recovery unit by distillation. The condensed solvent is collected in the solvent vessel. Mineral aggregates and filler are dried in the machine and are provided for weighing and the determination of the grading of the bituminous mixture.
The Analysator Pure is equipped with indirect heating system, which allows a careful and safe handling of the used solvents.
The software “Prof.EX 4.0” allows the control and setting of all machine parameters. The graphical user interface enables an easy operation of tests with standard materials, including an extended user interface for the settings and determination of sophisticated bituminous materials.
For the operation, centrifuge cups (20-0330 or 20-0335) and sieve drums (20-1110) with sieve drum cover (20-1106) are necessary. In addition, the machine needs a continuous cooling water supply with a flow rate between 5 and 8 l/min, with 3 bar supply pressure and 10 to 15°C water temperature. For the operation, it is necessary to provide approx. 20 l of high stabilised solvent.
