A fully enclosed design that ensures safer operation and helps contain and control airborne respirable quartz, silica, or crystalline particles within the personnel’s breathing zone. It is equipped with a hopper that has a sample volume of 1.6 ft³ (45.3 liters) and is hinged at the rear to allow incremental loading while the machine is running. A panel prevents dust from escaping through the opening when the hopper is closed.
The narrower panel doors require less space to open and fold flat across the front of the unit. The vertically hinged front doors provide improved access and clearance, allowing the unit to be placed anywhere in the lab without the need for permanent installation. The doors are also equipped with a safety interlock that disables the Test-Master® when they are open.
An integrated electronic digital controller features an LED display that shows the remaining time and emits an audible tone at the end of the test cycle. Test cycles up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds can be programmed, and cycles can be interrupted without losing test time. The unit is powered by a powerful, capacitor-start 1/3 horsepower motor.
