Plaster extensometer

Used to measure the linear expansion of a paste of standard consistency. The extensometer consists of a horizontal cradle, 100 mm long, 60 mm wide and 25 mm deep, closed at one end and open at the other. The open end rests against a dial gauge so that the specimen’s lateral expansion can be read. The dial gauge has a 10 mm travel and 0.01 mm graduation.
