Standard: EN 12697-1 (clause C)
Muffle furnace designed for high-temperature heating. The structure consists of sheet steel and a front chamber in die-cast steel to avoid aggression from acidic fumes. The thermal insulation in ceramic fibre minimises heat loss and saves energy. Temperature is electronically controlled via a digital thermostat. The furnace can also be used to determine residual mineral material from the combustion of bituminous mixtures in accordance with EN 12697-1 clause C.
The chamber is made of refractory material and is unsuitable for testing aggressive chemical samples.
