Los Angeles machine – Infratest

The Los Angeles machine is used to determine the resistance of aggregate to abrasion. The machine consists of a solid steel housing with a safety lid and an integrated Los Angeles drum that rotates around its horizontal axis at 32 rpm. An automatic counter stops the machine after the desired number of rotations has been reached. A suitable tray can be provided for emptying the drum.
