Calorimeter

The calorimeter is used to determine heat of hydration (heat release) for low- and high-strength Portland and hydraulic cements. This is an important property for controlling cement’s chemical reactivity and thermal performance.

Description

The apparatus consists of a Dewar flask enclosed in insulating material and mounted in a wooden mounting box with hinged fastenings for easy removal or replacement of the flask. An additional outer wooden casing ensures optimal insulation in accordance with applicable standards.

The calorimeter is supplied complete with an electric stirrer and funnel for sample preparation.
